Centennial Sweeping, a family operated business, has been in operation since 1967. We are head-quartered in Toronto, Ontario and specialize in street sweeping, street flushing, and 24/7 emergency roadside response.

Our extensive and varied experience, plus our willingness to provide creative, customized and innovative solutions for customers, gives Centennial Sweeping its competitive advantage. We are strategically located near all five major 400 series highways to serve you better. 

We are well-established in the community and surrounding GTA and provide service to a variety of industries including: construction (road and building), municipal government, movie production, towing, waste management, pool filling and excavation.    

Our regular geographical service area is mainly in the surrounding GTA, but extends to the golden horseshoe. 

SAFETY

We aim to make the work-place environment safe for all, whether it is at our home site or at a specific job off-site. This is accomplished with the use of project management and evaluation, and extensive employee training that includes the following: WHMIS, First Aid, Confined Space, Working from Heights, etc... Much of our Health & Safety training is completed in collaboration with the IHSA.

INNOVATION

We have been building and customizing our own machinery with our qualified and talented team in the maintenance and manufacturing shop for over 25 years. When presented with unique circumstances, we work with our customers to ensure that their needs are met.

We strive to provide the highest quality service in every aspect of our business, whether we are sweeping, flushing, providing emergency services or responding to any of our customers’ questions or concerns. The quality service we provide stems from our efficient and hardworking equipment, the experience and professionalism of our personnel as well as our effective project planning, management and evaluation. Every one of our jobs is coordinated with the help of team leaders and dispatch. 

ENVIRONMENT

We have the environment in mind at all times and are up-to-date with the latest environmental products and practices. Not only are we conscious of our own impact on the environment, but we and our machines work hard and quickly to minimize the environmental impact of incidents that occur on the road.  

Centennial Sweeping is a family owned and operated business.  All of our trucks are maintained daily in our 30,000 square foot maintenance and manufacturing shop. This ensures that the equipment we provide is reliable and will get the job done.

Bob Chabot founded “Centennial Haulage” in March 1967 with a single dump truck.  But, as time passed, he identified a need to expand and evolve the business to meet greater demands in the community and surrounding areas. The company eventually became a street sweeping contracting business, and is now called “Centennial Sweeping”.  The initial contracts were for municipalities and road builders and the company was soon designing and building custom sweepers for use on the 401.  Modified from: Lund, G.(2007). COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Centennial Sweeping recognizes the importance of supporting our community. We are supporters of a number of associations and charities in our local community, including Habitat for Humanity, the Toronto Police Service, and the Ontario Provincial Police Association. We have also proudly supported and participated in the Ride to Conquer Cancer and in the WWF Canada Life CN Tower Climb. We have also provided water fun for the children of  École Élementaire Catholique Saint Noël Chabanel.

Much of Centennial’s community giving originated from Bob Chabot’s own commitment to “giving back”, especially to the kids. Without fail, he dressed up as Santa at a number of French speaking schools in the Toronto area for over 20 years.

Centennial Sweeping has been recognized for the quality of our work as well as for our contributions to the community over the years.
